A spectacular Carnival  will weave around the historic streets of Ballyshannon, the culmination of over 2 months of workshops with local arts, community and school groups, and new arrivals to the County.  The event will celebrate the O’Donnell Clan’s links with Ballyshannon, the 550th. anniversary of the building of the O’Donnell Castle in neighbouring Donegal Town, as well as the  Erneside town’s maritime heritage.  It will feature input by Inishowen Carnival, Dark Daughter Productions, Ballyshannon Samba and Michelle Belle’s School of Dance, among many others. 

Carnival Ballyshannon is presented by a partnership of Erne Enterprise Development CLG and Donegal County Council, with funding from Creative Ireland .
