The creation of a bat mosaic will be a community engagement project with the finished piece to be displayed in Castlegregory Playground. 

Led by artist Deborah Birmingham, the visual impact of it will draw people in to find out more about the native bats. The mosaic and accompanying signage will raise awareness of the importance of the local bat population in Castlegregory and support Castlegregory Tidy Towns in their biodiversity education efforts with the community and visitors. 

There will be a call out to members of the public to get involved on social media and flyers in the village in June. Members of the public who would like to get involved can sign up at Castlegregory Information Centre, by sending a message to Castlegregory Tidy Towns' Facebook Page or by emailing castlegregorytidytowns@gmail.com
