Supported under Open Call Strand 1: Community/Creative Collaboration The Melting Pot social enterprise will provide a series of inclusive arts activities and music sessions designed to connect diverse members of the Roscommon community. 

The project aims to encourage creativity, build confidence and promote social inclusion through accessible, hands-on art experiences. 

Project highlights: 

Art classes for the community: Workshops focusing on painting, drawing and crafts, open to people of all ages and abilities, including marginalized groups such as refugees, older people and people with mental health conditions. These sessions will encourage self-expression and community storytelling through art. 

Music sessions: Meetings where participants can learn to play instruments, sing together and explore different styles of music. No previous experience is required - just a willingness to have fun and connect through music. 

Joint project: Participants could work together to design and paint, for example, a relocatable mural that reflects the spirit of inclusion and diversity in Roscommon. 

Art Beats aims to strengthen community connections, boost confidence and create lasting connections through the power of art and music.
