A Creative Arts and Wellbeing pilot project in the North of the County working with a range of groups. The idea is to use a 'Story box' of objects and artefacts designed to provoke discussion and imaginative journeys. The contents of the 'Story box' relates to local folklore, everyday life and available archive material but will also include 'random treasures' Participants are also encouraged to add their own objects. Initial sessions will draw out personal responses through simple art and song writing activities giving participants opportunity to input into the thematic direction and material aspect of the process. The Arts Centre sessions will involve a process of devising ways to more fully express and develop these ideas and will involve a visual artist. A number of creative outcomes are possible and participants will be involved in deciding what they might be. Elements of music, song writing, story telling and visual arts will certainly be involved , while other possible outcomes might be performance, textile work, animation, sound recording, film or podcasts.
