Kilfinane Community Council
Kilfinane Community Council will facilitate community engagement in art and heritage crafts using local wool. The grant will support the purchase of equipment and materials to encourage the use of wool in community spinning, felting and weaving projects and in pop-up displays of traditional skills at community events.
The project will benefit the community as they collaborate and engage in creative projects using wool. Affordable low cost, Crafting Sessions are an important tool in fostering rural and social inclusion by allowing low income participants access to creative activity, thereby acting as a springboard for further creative community projects and individual artistic development.
