People from all walks of life are enjoying a special kind of self-expression through choreographer Catherine Young’s extraordinary dance initiative.
Known as The Welcoming Project, Catherine’s work enables migrants, refugees, Irish people and asylum seekers to uniquely connect with each other through dance and music.
“It really empowers people to share a bit of who they are and feel, in a foreign country, that they have something of value to share with us.”
This inclusive initiative has been supported as part of Kerry County Council’s Culture and Creativity Strategy.
