Three companies have been chosen to participate in the regional expansion of Business to Arts’ dynamic Artist-in-Residence Programme.
One of the Creative Ireland Programme’s 30 National Creativity Fund initiatives, expressions of interest were sought from businesses interested in developing new (or enhancing their existing) corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities through the Business to Arts Artist-in-Residence (AR) Programme. The National Creativity Fund enables the Creative Ireland Programme to activate, enable and support a range of innovative initiatives which have creativity and wellbeing at their centre.
A charitable organisation, Business to Arts facilitates and supports creative partnerships between businesses, individuals and the arts. Under this innovative AR programme, three participating companies will benefit from working with an artist and a local regional community group relevant to their individual CSR aims.
The three selected businesses are: BHP Insurance (Dublin), which plans to work with a pianist to develop a combination of performance and education-based initiatives for clients in the non-profit sector; The Ludgate Hub (Cork), which will work with a local artist and a local community of older people to connect with the ageing diaspora through technology and creativity; and LK Shields (Galway), which plans to work with a performance-based artist, to explore the use of performance techniques to develop presentation and leadership skills.
A unique opportunity to encourage ambition, risk and innovation by harnessing the incredible talent and passion of our artists, creative communities and local business innovators; watch this space, or rather workspaces!
