Each year over the life of the Creative Ireland Project Cork Midsummer Festival works with the Culture Team to place a creative day into a local park. Working with the Arts, Community, Heritage and Parks section a park is chosen each year.
The Festival works with local community representatives to host the event, and designs a family friendly arts event that reflects the history of the park, and the surrounding community. Fleishman in the Glen, Lets Bop at Tory Top, and Douglas Park have all been the parks animated in this way in 2017, 2018, and 2019 respectively.
