Workshop: 35 people max
Public Performance: up to 120 people
- the project manager, Ronan Quinn, recruits an orchestra from across the community of Co Sligo
- the area between Ballisodare to Enniscrone roughly but anyone from across the county can ‘sign up’
- these adults from across the social divide in Sligo and West Sligo and local secondary students compose new exciting and adventurous music during a morning session (3hrs) with acclaimed composer Sid Peacock
- All orchestra participants feed their ideas into the compositional process - Collaboration and co-creation are at the heart of this project
These new community compositions are performed later that day for the general public in a free event at the Black Pig Festival (Performance duration: 30 mins approx)
