So Say So
So Say So is an exciting series of poetry and music events celebrating artistic expression with a special focus on the Irish language. Held at Wexford Arts Centre and now in its landmark 20th edition, the series brings together poets, musicians and audiences to experience the power of words and music in a vibrant, inclusive setting.
On March 15th and 16th 2025, and on Culture Night 2025, So Say So will feature performances that highlight the richness of the Irish language, encouraging active audience participation through engaging activities like the 5-word Open Mic Challenge, where attendees incorporate curated Irish words into creative pieces. These interactions help the Irish language to become more accessible, fostering conversation, creativity and cultural appreciation.
The event promotes social connection, wellbeing and artistic engagement. By offering a dynamic platform for expression, these So Say So editions strengthen Wexford’s cultural landscape and deepen appreciation for Ireland’s linguistic heritage.
The So Say So March editions are one of Creative Ireland Wexford’s six Irish Language projects for 2025, meeting our strategic priority to ‘promote the love and use of the Irish language in our community’.
