Zine Making Workshop for Teens
Join Tiffany Glen and Caoilfhinn Geary of Limerick Zine Fest in this fun session on creating your own zine. Zines are a fun way to explore self-expression and individuality through art and words. Zines are often used to share knowledge and ideas with and of people from marginalized or otherwise less-empowered communities.
Tiffany: Tiffany Glenn is a writer/hand-cut collage artist based in Ireland who makes art under the moniker Fannyland. She is the creator and host of the monthly Cut Loose collage workshops in Limerick and Clare. She is a co-organizer of the annual DIY literature festival Limerick Zine Fest (LZF) in Limerick City.
Caoilfhinn: Caoilfhinn Geary is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Limerick, Ireland. Her work spans a variety of mediums including print, photography, poetry and bookmaking. She is a current member of the Limerick Printmakers where she teaches after school kids classes. In 2024, she co-founded and organised the Limerick Zine Fest.
This workshop will be held in Ennis Library 9:30 - 11:00 AM and Scariff Library 12:00 - 13:30 pm. Teachers can book Secondary School classes by contacting the library directly.
