"Bonded by Love - The Story of Joe and Rocky" is an arts project designed to explore the transformative bond between Joe Burke, a middle-aged man with an intellectual disability, and his beloved rescue dog, Rocky.

Living in residential care with the Muiriosa Foundation in Newtowncashel, County Longford, Joe’s life has taken a positive turn since adopting Rocky, a playful cockapoo. This short documentary, created by arts facilitators Fiona MacGinty and Ruth Sweeney, along with videographer Fabian MacGinty O'Neill, from Fruitbowl Film & Drama Hub aims to celebrate their unique relationship and the impact it has had on Joe’s life and the lives of those around him.
