County Monaghan is synonymous with mushrooms, in fact, it is one of largest producers of mushrooms in the world! 

Monaghan’s Marvellous Mushrooms will connect the people of Monaghan with one of its most prized natural resources. The project will be multi- faceted, using creativity to explore the folklore, history, health benefits and science of mushrooms. 

The project will launch on European Day of the Mushroom (Saturday 28th September) with activities ongoing throughout October and November.
