SHELTER; Array Collective Residency at Rua Red
Supported by Creative Ireland, Array Collective will undertake a three month residency period at Rua Red, working with local groups including activists, refugees, young people, and community organisations to explore the idea of 'SHELTER' - a structure built to give protection, especially from the weather or from attack.
Array Collective is a group of 11 artists who create collaborative actions in response to socio-political issues affecting Ireland today.
The residency will take place throughout Autumn in Rua Red. Array will occupy a dedicated studio space at Rua Red. They will hold a series of bi weekly public workshops, seminars and discussion groups around the issues of shelter, rights, home, belonging, security, and dignity.
Array Collective are Sighle Bhreathnach-Cashell, Sinéad Bhreathnach-Cashell, Jane Butler, Emma Campbell, Alessia Cargnelli, Mitch Conlon, Clodagh Lavelle, Grace McMurray, Stephen Millar, Laura O’Connor, and Thomas Wells. The collective is based and works in Belfast.
