‘Buachaill a'dreoilín’ is a 3-day immersive workshop for children and young people bringing alive the history and folklore of mumming and strawboys. The workshops will introduce participants to strawcraft, one of the world’s oldest crafts, one that also has strong local connections. 

The workshop will introduce participants to the masked tradition of mummering and they will make their own mask and partake in a cultural re-enactment including rhymes and storytelling.

The project will take place over three weeks, Thursday 10th, 17th and 24th October.

1st class from the local national school Scoil Eoghainn led byh Brendan Farren, mask weaver, Bernie McFarland, drama facilitator, and Shane Carey from the Moville Mummers.
