ISLA Festival Athy

Join Athy Sing & Sign at the ISLA Festival in Athy on September 28th & 29th, as they celebrate inclusion and accessibility through Visual Arts, Music Performance, and Celebration.

This year's festival theme "Lost in Translation - Inclusion not Confusion" aims to promote understanding and acceptance for all.

Experience workshops with renowned percussionist Evelyn Glennie, who will work with members of the Athy Sing and Sign Club and the general community. Enjoy 'An Audience with Evelyn Glynn' during the festival.

Collaborate with Gráinne Hope and Ruth Montgomery on a visual music workshop designed for deaf, hard of hearing, CODA individuals and the general community. Led by Deaf musician Ruth, and Music Health & Ireland's Gráinne Hope, this workshop aims to inspire participants to create uplifting music together.

Additionally, Chloe Cummins will lead a workshop on Aerial Acrobatics and conclude the festival with a Cabaret performance alongside fellow artists.

The 7th ISLA Festival provides a platform for individuals of all abilities to celebrate the power of inclusion in the arts. Led by presenters who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or CODAs, the festival showcases diverse talents, inspiring and empowering the Kildare community.
