As part of the Community & Economic Development division of Sligo County Council, the tourism department has the responsibility of promoting Sligo as a visitor destination. There is a focus on developing the cultural rhythm of Sligo, and WB Yeats is an integral part of the cultural heritage and identity of the county.  It is recognised that digital marketing will form the core of marketing activities in order to promote Sligo as a destination.

This initiative aims to create a stock of AI generated digital imagery which blends the identity of WB Yeats and the Sligo landscape and forms of outdoor activity.

This initiative will require engagement and interaction with the Yeats groups within Sligo – namely the Yeats society, The Model, Atlantic Technological University and Drumcliffe Parish. This grouping will steer the brief supplied to an AI digital artist to create imagery which be placed prominently on the official local authority website
