Artist Robert Vaughan will be commissioned to illustrate selected species and well-known Sligo landscapes, to create ten wildlife and habitat illustrations, as Robert is also an ecologist.

These would consist of selected species and well-known Sligo landscapes, such as Ben Bulben, Ox Mountains, Streedagh Beach, etc. and the species found in those areas.

Following on from this commission, the hope would be to further develop the project, and possibly run a series of workshops for Sligo artists/young adults in nature illustrations, and design flyers for the 14 local groups who have a Biodiversity Action Plan for their locality in Sligo.
