Day of the Dead
This November the Mexican Community in Cork will be celebrating The Day of the Dead (el Día de Muertos) and we would like to give the people of Cork the opportunity to take part. The Day of the Dead is one of the most emblematic of all Mexican cultural festivities; It is a celebration of great popular significance.
A series of workshops at St. Peter's Cork will cover different aspects of Mexican culture and society, providing an excellent opportunity for the wider public to learn more and interact with the Mexican Community in Cork, a group of over 300 individuals, formed of settled families and individuals.
Workshops in dance, creative arts, music and cooking will take place in the weekends leading up to The Day of the Dead, a major celebration in the Mexican calendar. These workshops will will be free and accessible for everyone, both in the Mexican community and interested members of the public.
