Augmented Body, Altered Mind, BrainSTORM Workshop
As part of the ‘Augmented Body, Altered Mind’ tour, this innovative exhibition is visiting Áras Éanna on Inis Oírr. With Creative Ireland funding and to support the tour, AlanJames Burns studio hosts a unique event to engage often marginalised disability and neurodiverse audiences. This one day event ‘BrainSTORM’ takes place on September 27th.
Following an exhibition tour ’participants have lunch in this stunning area of environmental significance, and participate in an afternoon workshop. This active research workshop led by AlanJames Burns and Fiona Byrne, creatively explores the intersections of disability and climate change policy. A dynamic and interactive event designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue. Participants reflect on disability and climate change as it relates to their own experience and consider how these experiences could inform broader climate actions and policy. The round table discussion and workshop explores the accessibility of climate policy including collectively exploring how we might create easy read climate policies.
This event will be by invitation only and is specifically for the benefit of disability groups and neurodiverse artists.
