Cherishing County Carlow’s History & Heritage, this project will research a new area of history hinted at in folktales related to ‘Cathair’s Den’ on The Blackstairs Mountain in South County Carlow. Connecting people, ideas and communities is a priority of this project as it collaborates with the community to explore the history that has shaped the area we live in. This project will explore the history behind a Carlow tale and its history and its meaning to the community. The goal is to create a film that is both interesting and artistic. The general focus of the film is  character associated with Cahir’s Den, which will also serve as a vehicle to explore and understand our local landscape. Collaborating with members of the communities of South Carlow especially Killoughternane, Myshall, Borris and Ballinkillen too. Interviews will include Dr. Margaret Murphy from Carlow College, Fr. Alphy Murphy from Myshall,  Andrew McMurrough Kavanagh, Borris House and other community members. The audience for this project will be the local community and film festivals
