Writer Margaret Galvin considers the evolving nature of the famous magazine 'Ireland’s Own' over the many decades of its history since its inception in 1902. 

Particular emphasis will be placed on the adverts carried in the magazine and how they relate to the sociology of Ireland at that time. 

Regular features such as the pen friends will also be considered along with the more recent features contributed by RTÉ personalities Mary Kennedy, Michael Lyster, Maxi and Liam Nolan.
