The Creative Laneways project engages the Wexford Tidy Towns group in the further beautification of Wexford through the creation of mosaic and painting artwork. 

As a placemaking project Creative Laneways aims to make the laneways of Wexford, an important historical feature of the town’s geography, more attractive as routes that link pedestrians to key areas. Focusing on the inclusion of members of new communities to Wexford, the Tidy Towns is a multicultural group. 

The group will have direct involvement in the design and creation of the artwork through site visits to the laneways and weekly workshops in the studios of mosaic artist Helen McLean. 

A public opening of the artwork will be held at the laneways in September 2024. Supported in partnership with Wexford Borough and the WWETB.
