Felting 'Home': Textile Explorations in the Midlands aims to build a 3D home with local young adults. Through drawing, conversation, observation, and crafting, with a focus on felt making, we will create a 3D structure representing our cumulative idea of the home.

The Project Involves Mother-Daughter duo: Orla Kelly: Multimedia artist and clothing repair tutor, and Oonagh Kelly: Multimedia Artist and Art teacher. Both Orla and Oonagh studied Textiles. 

Participants will engage in personal visual research on the concept of home, which they will use to create their own felt piece based on elements of their own home in which they find safety and comfort. 

Participants will work together to create a home of each individual piece.
