Ardú Street Art was established in Cork during lockdown of October 2020, originally bringing some of Ireland’s most respected and renowned street artists to create large scale murals at key Cork city-centre locations. Following on from the success of the Ardú Street Art Project over the past few years, in 2024 two locations in Cork City will be selected for large scale murals which will create conversation within the community and the extended areas of the city.  Ardú artists will collaborate with the local community and local information and folklore will be considered in the murals' design. The resulting murals will add to aesthetics of the urban landscape of Cork City and will foster a sense of ownership and engagement from local residents, nurturing pride in the city-centre communities where they are located and further develop people's interest in their surroundings.
