The Company of Trees is a West Cork based intergenerational art collaboration between a group of children currently in 6th class in Kilmeen National School and a collection of elders from the wider Kilmeen community, affectionately known as the 'Gransterz'.

The project was initiated in 2018 ( when the children involved were in 1st class) and will culminate with a multimedia exhibition representing all six years of an intergenerational journey that revolved around exploring and experiencing trees through art. This exhibition will be held in Clonakilty in May 2024 when the current crop of children will be ending their tenure at primary school, and when many of the Gransterz will be well into their eightieth decade!
