Cúirt Cheoil na mBan is a unique traditional Irish music and dance community event on the Aran Islands.

A troupe of 20 women musicians travel from house to house playing music, ending with a concert at Europe’s most westerly arts centre Áras Éanna. The community compares it to a secular version of the ‘stations’ visits in years gone by. The aim with the event is to revive an old tradition of visiting musicians while adding a modern twist and committing to supporting and promoting women in music.
