Memory Boxes are specially created boxes of objects chosen specifically to spark memories of the past, to remember places and events from our lives, and to encourage conversation and discussion amongst the people who handle the objects from them. two memory boxes will be created, one in Castlebar Library and one in the Granuaile Centre in Louisburgh.

These boxes will become long-term resources for the community and local and regional groups and organisations, providing a valuable and engaging service to people all across the county who will gain benefit from their use.  The Library box will be a portable travelling resources for people to borrow from the library and to positively engage with for reminiscence and learning.
