Children’s Book Festival 2023

The annual Children's Book Festival, run nationally throughout the month of October is a highlight of Tipperary Library Service Programme for Children. This very popular Festival celebrates the pleasure gotten from reading and highlights the best of children’s authors and storytellers in libraries around the county throughout the month. This year our Festival will be launched by the wonderful Arran Towers. Arran is the talent behind the recreation of Roald Dahl’s BFG and will be entertaining children with his ‘A Trunk of Tricks’ and tale of ‘Old Father Story.’ Storytelling sessions will be in both English and ‘as Gaeilge’ and will include authors like Carmel Uí Cheallaigh, Tatyana Feeney and Leona Forde. The Festival will run throughout the month of October – with these authors / performers appearing in the following libraries, Nenagh, Roscrea, Thurles, Clonmel, Cashel, Cahir, Tipperary Town, Borrisokane and Cloughjordan, on various dates throughout the month.

Please note – this Festival in run in co-operation with primary schools throughout the county and as such is not open to the public.
