Wicklow Arts Office and Wicklow Library Services are delighted to announce the return of the Way with Words Literature Festival on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th October 2023 in Blessington Library. Now in its 5th year, the Way with Words Festival is a highly anticipated event curated with writers and readers in mind. This year the programme features a range of events that include readings, workshops, in conversations, and activities for all ages with a variety of genres and approaches to writing represented. The programme includes: Tuesday 10th October A workshop for TY students with award winning writer and poet Colm Keegan Friday 13th October A workshop for primary school students with children's book writer Helena Dugan. A workshop followed by poetry recital featuring Wicklow Poets Jane Clarke, David Butler and Eithne Hand. Saturday 14th October Two children's workshops with creator of 'My delicious Hat' Paul Timoney, and illustrator and writer Aoife Dooley. Two writer’s workshops with William Ryan, fiction writer, and Tanya Farrelly, crime fiction writer. A reading and in-conversation by Irish journalist and broadcaster Edel Coffey, and moderated by Wicklow author Olivia Fitzsimons.
