Hidden Lakes of Connemara is a publication by four Dutch environmentalists, who have conducted a 35-year+ study of Connemara lakes. 

In his Foreword to the book, Wetland ecologist, Jim Ryan, writes 'To my knowledge this is one of the very few long-term studies of this kind in Ireland and is unusual even on a world stage.'

The book contains original watercolour illustrations, poems, and essays, describing changes in the lakes and the landscape highlighting the special nature and beauty of Connemara.  While the subject matter is quite specific, the book is designed in such a way that it will appeal to a general audience who share a deep appreciation of their environment.
