Join us in Swords Castle for this year’s Fingal Festival of Children’s Literature. Events will take place in the Storytent, The Tall-Tales Tent, The Chapel, The Book Clinic and The Creative Zone. Children can meet their favourite authors, illustrators and storytellers including Aoife Dooley, Alan Nolan, Patricia Forde, Megan Wynne, Sarah Webb, Alan Dunne, Dave Rudden and Graham Tugwell. Make graffiti with Street Art Ink, write letters to favourite fictional characters, or colour in pictures from stories with Orlaith O’Sullivan. Baby Bop Orchestra will perform a classical music concert for early years children and families. Little ones can make magical flying creature with Olivia Hope. Sarah Sparkles presents a fun story-time for younger kids. Niamh Sharkey and Megan Churcher give a playful introduction to music, literature and art with Bringing a Line for a Walk. The Fanzini Brothers will entertain you and the CBI Book Doctors from will give advice on books children will love. The Festival also has a schools’ programme where authors and illustrators will meet hundreds of creative young people in schools across Fingal.
