Re-imagining our Ball Wall as a Cultural and Artistic Landmark

We are creating a Landmark Mural on the Ball Wall of the Naomh Padraig Uisce Chaoin GAA club in Ture, which reflects the deep and diverse cultural heritage of our home on the banks of Lough Foyle, by harnessing the creativity and imagination of the entire local community.

We will design and paint a Mural on our large Ball Wall, which is highly visible on the R238 between Muff and Quigleys Point, along the scenic Inishowen 100 on the banks of Lough Foyle.

We are working with a local public artist, Peaball,  to create a work of art that reflects the rich cultural heritage of our community, and to make it a welcoming landmark at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way. Through a series of creative workshops we will involve the young people of our community in creating an Iconic piece of Public Art that they can be proud of and have ownership of.

This work of art will become synonymous with our local area and our location in the same way as the famous Bogside murals are now synonymous with the City of Derry.

The Ball Wall is 5 meters high and 20 meters wide and both sides are highly visible on the main access road from Derry to the Inishowen Peninsula and Malin Head.
