Mobile Music Machine Covid Care Concerts was an initiative created by acclaimed Irish cellist Gerald Peregrine. The project was initially conceived in response to the many social and economic challenges created by Covid-19. Wicklow County Council first piloted the concerts by Gerald and Mobile Music Machine in 2020.

Mobile Music Machine Care Concerts 2023 series will see the delivery of 20 concerts in five residential care home facilities for older persons across Co. Wicklow between July and October 2023. The concerts will take place indoors and outdoors.

For each concert, a different group of the finest classical musicians and singers perform and present a new programme of music.  The performance line-up includes singers Mary Coughlan, Niamh Kavanagh and Sandra Oman, cellist Gerald Peregrine, pianist Vincent Lynch, trumpeter Niall O’Sullivan, violinist Lynda O’Connor, accordionist Dermot Dunne.
