Festival in a Van

Festival in a Van will be on the road on 18th and 19th August bringing free music and spoken word performances to communities across Fingal. Festival in a Van is a fully equipped mobile performance venue showcasing singers, musicians, poets, and storytellers. Among the artists who will perform are award-winning Balbriggan poet Tony Curtis; indie pop singer-songwriter Leila Jane; singer, actor, screenwriter, and director Esosa Ighodaro; singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin; the Fingal-based dance duo Londiwe Queens; and award-winning Skerries poet Enda Coyle-Greene; with select performances as well from members of each local community. All are welcome to attend and enjoy the public Festival in a Van performances. The schedule is as follows:

Friday 18th August

  • St Ita’s Resource Centre, Portrane: 11am – 12pm  (Please note: this specific event is intended for residents of St. Ita’s and their close friends and family)
Performances from Tony Curtis, Esosa Ighodaro, Leila Jane

  • Donabate Community Centre: 14:30 – 15:30 (FREE, ALL WELCOME)
Performances from Esosa Ighodaro, Leila Jane, and a number of local performers

Saturday 19th August

  • St. Catherine’s Estate, Rush: 12pm – 12.40 (FREE, ALL WELCOME)
  • Floraville Public Park, Skerries: 14:15 – 14:55 (FREE, ALL WELCOME)
  • Garristown Garda Station: 18:00 – 18:40 (FREE, ALL WELCOME)
Performances from Enda Coyle-Greene, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin, Londiwe Queens, and a number of local performers
