'Take root' dance project will provide the adult service users of Enable Ireland with access to regular dance practice and creative development throughout 2023. These regular sessions will support their own creativity and their personal expression.

The aim is a series of 12 sessions is to instill confidence in the participants through dance practice and provide them with the opportunity to develop solos and group pieces.

Many of the particpants have a range of creative experience and some have expressed interest in choreographing and others fusing dance and poetry.

These sessions will give space for each individual to refine what they may wish to pursue independently or in collaboration in the future. By the end of the 12 sessions, the hope is to gain a clearer idea of how they can support their development as creative individuals and offer what next steps are possible for those wishing to develop their creative ideas further.

The first 6 Workshops will take place between May to June 2023 

The second 6 workshops will take place between August to September 2023

All 12 workshops will take place at the Nicole Sweeney Dance Studio
