Tipperary Town Memories project aims to collate and preserve the memories and stories of the people of Tipperary Town and district through this project.  The group will record social history in relation to businesses, lifestyle, sport, leisure that cover  the changing times over the past seventy years, back to the 1950s.

Knockanrawley Resource Centre will host this project providing a meeting space for participants and recording while also offering training and facilitation through its SICAP programme.

The recordings will be aired on Tipp Mid-West Radio Station during Heritage week (August 12th-20th)  and will be produced as 15 minutes segments each morning that week.

There is a second part to this project whereby an artist will interpret the themes from the stories by producing an art piece in collaboration with Tipperary Creative Places.

The completed project will be uploaded to Tipperary Cultural Films Youtube see link below and will be available for all to hear.
