The project will see professional visual artists working with service users of RehabCare in Dundalk to provide professional painting and drawing skills to them, along with members of the RehabCare staff. The project will not only enhance the skills of the service users and increase their confidence and their creative output, but it will develop the staffs ability to provide a more skilled artistic experience in their facilitation work, thereby ensuring a sustainable support network that will continue beyond the project. Over the past couple of years RehabCare have been trying to encourage more artistic content in their facilitation programme for their service users. This project will build on those initial foundations and in time it is hope they will develop a Creative Community within RehabCare Dundalk that will sustain this legacy.
