An open exhibition of photographs and Poets’ Trees 22

The Poets’ Trees Project is a collection of original poems submitted by local poets and those with some connection to Kanturk for an outdoor poetry installation on the magnificent trees on the banks of the river Dalua in O’Brien Street Park, Kanturk.

Submissions came in from all ages from 6 to 90+.

Eighty four poems on subjects from lockdown to love and everything in between were submitted in all.

Photography Exhibition

Submissions were sought for an outdoor exhibition. Nearly forty images were printed for the project. Images were taken with phones to DSLR and everything inbetween.

It is the intention of  the Kanturk Arts Festival to put both the poems and photographs into book form and so celebrate the creativity of all the poets and photographers

The book will be available to purchase in the autumn and will be a permanent keepsake of the event when the installation has been taken down. This project is supported by Creative Ireland and Cork County Council.
