The aim of this project is to raise awareness and connect pupils at Inistioge National School, St. Colmcille's, to the heritage of the commercial buildings in their village. It is hoped a greater appreciation of the value of heritage and social history will be fostered. Additionally, it is hoped that this element of our local heritage will be recorded, preserved and passed onto future generations.

A number of school workshops will take place that will encourage pupils to become more engaged with their local history and heritage. Upon conclusion of the workshops, an art exhibition of the pupils' art/craft and design work will take place at the local Cois Abhann Community Centre and will be open to the public.
