Covid Care Concerts is an initiative created by cellist Gerald Peregrine, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Mobile Music Machine have collaborated with Creative Ireland, Age Friendly Ireland and Blackwater Valley Opera Festival to deliver live classical music concerts in the gardens of residential care homes and hospital settings across Ireland.

The concerts feature the best of Irish talent, including singers Anthony Kearns, Celine Byrne, Caludia Boyle, Emmet Cahill, Sandra Oman, Sibéal, Seán Keane, Orla Fallon and Gavan Ring among others.

Mobile Music Machine will deliver 10 concerts in Galway County with the support of Age Friendly Ireland and Healthy Ireland. This pilot project is funded by the HSE and is the largest arts and health intervention that they have supported in response to the pandemic. This is part of the government’s ‘Keep Well’ campaign.
