The first of four new Reimagine projects by the Irish Architecture Foundation (IAF) began last week with a site visit to the Marshalsea Barracks, a building in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties.
In the coming months, in partnership with the Community Organisation and Residents Network (CORN), the IAF will work with the local residents to reimagine a new future for the Marshalsea Barracks.
Other exciting projects include a co-designed sustainable vision for a Bord na Móna village in Roscommon, highlighting the vision of architect Frank Gibney. A socially inclusive co-design project in Waterford Cultural Quarter will aim to create an attractive and welcoming marketplace. The creative Headford Town Team want to create a serious conversation about the future of their Main Street – a conversation that includes everyone in the community.
Reimagine is a nationwide placemaking programme by the Irish Architecture Foundation supported by the Creative Ireland Programme.
