Pride of the Déise Festival 2021
Pride of the Déise is a not-for -profit, volunteer led community organisation based in Waterford City.
Our second annual event takes place on the June bank holiday 2021. A mixture of speakers, workshops and performances culminates
in a Pride festival which everyone can be proud of to celebrate inclusion and diversity in Waterford for everyone.
This year's Programme features;
Friday:
4pm Scéal - Members of the local LGBT community share their stories.
6pm Queer Vision - A film festival featuring content submitted by local LGBTQIA+ artists and film makers.
8pm Drag and Draw - Part Drag act, part life drawing, a life-drawing session with a drag queen model.
Saturday:
Workshops - Ann Upton delivers a zine making workshop and Ciara Ni É hosts a 90min tour of LGBTQ+ Irish language poets and their work.

4pm Pride Celebration - Live from Garter Lane, Pride of the Déise will be streaming a live parade event followed by music and DJs into the evening.

12pm LGB Tea - Insta Live stream with Pride of the Déise’s Youth Committee
3pm Queer Sex Ed - For 14–17-year-olds hosted by BeLonGTo
6pm Zoom Party - Kahoot and craic zooming into your living rooms
