Derrinlough Briquette Factory, near Cloghan is the last remaining briquette factory in Ireland and is part of the operations of Bord na Mona. 2020 is its 60th year in production.

Photographer James Fraher has partnered with foreman Jimmy Shortt to carry out a photographic record of the factory and a book of these images will be curated and will be published in 2020 with an exhibition hosted in Aras an Chontae and the Irish Architectural Archive has offered to host the exhibition in the autumn.
