Second annual festival of the  Maigue, held in Croom Co. Limerick. It will consist of  a range of activities to engage the  public with both  the natural and cultural heritage of the river Maigue. It will consist of a series of events that will develop peoples interest in the environmental and recreational potential of the river. These will be in line with Covid-19 restrictions.

The festival contributes towards developing a greater public ownership of the river Maigue. It will help to foster pride of place, public-ownership and civic-engagement. Allow people to experience first hand the benefits accrued from contact with the natural world.Assist in perpetuation of the art of fly tying.

For National Heritage Week 2020 (15-23 Aug), the Maigue Rivers Trust invited people living in the Maigue Catchment to take pictures of their local heritage, nature, built, crafts, skills, art, songs, and more. The Trust gave people a platform to share what they cherish with a broader audience, and the Trust wants to learn more about what we have here in the Maigue catchment.

Due to Covid restrictions the festival has been re-imagined to include nature walks and limited numbered workshops.
